Job summary

The Global Edge Group is seeking a Measurement Tech to support offshore and onshore projects in Louisiana. The role focuses on precise measurement of physical quantities within Oil and Gas operations, ensuring accuracy and reliability across custody transfer and allocation processes.

Candidates should have at least 2 years’ related experience, strong regulatory knowledge, and proficiency with common measurement systems and Windows-based software.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience / training in Oil and Gas Allocation and Custody Transfer measurement systems.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements for LACT meter proving, Sales Gas meter calibration, and Oil & Gas sampling for Custody Transfer.
• Knowledge of liquid and gas meter operation, calibration, and Oil & Gas sampling for allocation.
• Knowledge of single-phase metering (positive displacement, helical turbine, orifice, v-cone).

Responsibilities

• Measure physical quantities accurately as part of a team of engineers and technicians.
• Ensure measurements are reliable and consistent according to regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with offshore operations and support equipment testing procedures.

The Measurement Tech is responsible for the measurement of physical quantities. They will work with a team of engineers, technicians, and other professionals to ensure that measurements are accurate, reliable, and consistent.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience / training in Oil and Gas Allocation and Custody Transfer measurement systems.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements for LACT meter proving, Sales Gas meter calibration, and Oil & Gas sampling for Custody Transfer.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements for liquid and gas meter operation, calibration, and Oil & Gas sampling, for allocation.
• Knowledge of single-phase metering by positive displacement, helical turbine, orifice, and v-cone, for oil and natural gas systems, troubleshooting and equipment testing procedures.
• Ability to navigate and use Windows-based programs such as OMNICOM, PCCU32, Mon 2000.
• Experience in the use of computers and a working knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to travel and work on offshore locations, around heavy equipment, and in variable environmental conditions.

Education
