Job summary

Equipment & Controls, Inc. seeks a Measurement and Flow Technician to install, calibrate, and troubleshoot process control and flow measurement instrumentation at customer sites. The role involves travel to ensure reliable system performance and requires independent work on projects.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of Rosemount experience, familiarity with major instrument brands, and strong electrical and blueprint-reading skills. A technical degree and valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

  • Technical degree or equivalent field experience.
  • 5+ years experience with Rosemount products preferred.
  • Familiarity with Rosemont and Micro Motion.
  • Familiarity with Foxboro, Endress & Hauser, Yokogawa, and other instrumentation.
  • Ability to use hand and power tools, including drills, saws, shovels, picks, wrenches, tube benders and tube cutters.
  • Understand instrumentation and be able to read blueprints and perform electrical work (480V experience preferred).
  • Proficient with MS Word, Excel and Outlook; TCP/IP and Modbus/RS232-485/Hart communications familiarity.
  • Ability to travel out of town and work in the field as required.
  • Current driver's license.

Responsibilities

  • Support customers in process control instrumentation and equipment startup with focus on flow measurement equipment.
  • Verify, troubleshoot and resolve instrumentation and equipment communications.
  • Inspect instrument wiring, power and grounding of installation.
  • Set up instruments with Hart 475 field communicator.
  • Work with onsite installation crew.
  • Replace/install instrumentation and equipment.
  • Troubleshoot failed instruments and equipment.
  • Develop solutions to resolve instrumentation and equipment problems.
  • Calibration of measurement and flow transmitters.
  • Provide clear documentation of services provided to customers.

Job Summary

The Measurement and Flow Technician supports customers by installing, calibrating, and troubleshooting process control and flow measurement instrumentation. This role involves resolving communication and equipment issues, performing electrical and field work, and providing clear documentation of services. The technician works independently on customer projects and travels as needed to ensure reliable system performance.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Ability to travel out of town and work in the field when required
