Job summary

Horizons in Cedar Rapids, IA is seeking a part-time Meals on Wheels Driver to deliver warm meals and provide a friendly face to community members who rely on our service.

You will be responsible for delivering meals, assisting with packing, and maintaining safety and sanitation during deliveries, while coordinating with the team and supervisor to ensure accurate reporting and efficient operations.

Qualifications

• Must have valid Iowa driver's license and auto insurance.
• Clean driving record; MVR check required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Able to lift up to 40 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Deliver accurate, timely, and temperature-appropriate meals to clients and drop-off locations.
• Assist in packing coolers, review meal counts before distribution, and load/unload vehicles.
• Perform daily safety check-ins with clients and maintain sanitary delivery practices.
• Keep vehicles clean and in working order; adhere to driving laws at all times.
• Complete required paperwork and communicate daily progress with your team and supervisor.
• Support pantry operations and other tasks as needed.
