Responsibilities
  • Schedule residents for admissions and assessments, ensuring communication with nursing and other departments.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations regarding MDS completion and coordination.
  • Monitor MDS and care plan documentation for completeness and accuracy.
  • Maintain proficiency in relevant software.
  • Participate in Medicaid and ITTM meetings to discuss residents and update clinical records.
  • Perform care plan updates as needed.
  • Provide Quality Indicators Reports to DON, Administrator, and staff.
  • Transmit MDS data timely.
  • Stay current with industry changes through workshops and conferences.
  • Manage ancillary reporting to billing personnel.
Requirements
  • Licensed Nurse in good standing.
  • Geriatric nursing experience.
  • Restorative care philosophy, assessment, and hands-on skills, along with good communication and organization skills.
  • Knowledge of nursing home regulations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent organizational skills for managing multiple projects.
