Qualifications

• Previous MDS Coordinator experience in a skilled nursing facility.

• Ability to review clinical documentation for reimbursement support.

Responsibilities

• Complete and coordinate MDS assessments accurately and within timelines.
• Manage the facility's MDS and RAI process and ARD dates.
• Oversee Medicare-related assessments and documentation for reimbursement.
• Identify documentation gaps affecting skilled coverage and reimbursement.
• Collaborate with nursing, therapy, billing and administration.
• Educate staff on documentation requirements and MDS processes.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, CMS and facility rules.
