OPCO Skilled Management is seeking an MDS Coordinator to assist the Director of Nursing and the RN Assessment Coordinator in ensuring documentation aligns with Federal, State, and Certification guidelines. The role coordinates the RAI process to assure timely and complete MDS, CAAs, and the interdisciplinary care plan.
The successful candidate will support regulatory survey activities, monitor audits, and ensure accurate data collection and reporting for Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement.
The MDS Coordinator assists the Director of Nursing and the RN Assessment Coordinator with ensuring that documentation in the center meets Federal, State, and Certification guidelines. The MDS Coordinator coordinates the RAI process assuring the timeliness, and completeness of the MDS, CAAs, and Interdisciplinary Care Plan.
Assists the center in assuring adherence to Federal and State regulations and certification.
Graduate of an approved Registered Nurse / License Vocational Nurse program and licensed in the state of practice required. Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility preferred. Excellent knowledge of Case- Mix, the Federal Medicare PPS process, and Medicaid reimbursement, as required. Through understanding of the Quality Indicator process. Knowledge of the OBRA regulations and Minimum Data Set. Knowledge of the care planning process.
