Job summary

The Hawaii County Fire Department Aviation Department seeks a full-time pilot with MD-500 and Vertical Reference experience to support air operations across Hawaii Island, including ocean and land rescues, EMS transport, and brushfire suppression.

The role involves a 40-hour workweek split over three days, with potential overtime. A current Class medical, Commercial or ATP certificate, rotorcraft instrument rating, and US work eligibility are required.

Qualifications

• Current Second or First Class Pilot Medical.
• Commercial or ATP Pilot Certificate.
• Rotorcraft Helicopter Instrument Rating.
• Ability to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Operate MD-500E and AS-350-B3e in support of Hawaii Island operations.
• Conduct helicopter flight missions with safety as the priority.
• Maintain a 40-hour workweek with potential overtime shifts.
• Support EMS transport, land/sea rescue and brushfire suppression in Hawaii.
