Job summary

KBR's Marine Corps Prepositioning Program in Jacksonville, FL seeks a Surge Support Material Handler responsible for requisitioning, stocking calculations, issue, disposal, and tracking of equipment, supplies, and publications using automated systems. Train lower-level staff and perform related duties as assigned.

Candidate must lift 50 pounds, operate MHE, have a valid driver's license, be a US citizen, and travel up to 70%.

Qualifications

• 4 years related experience in warehousing or logistics.
• Capability to read and apply technical data in care/storage programs.
• Ability to assess storage space requirements including material weight and volume.
• Lifts up to 50 pounds and operates MHE equipment.
• Must possess a valid State Driver's License and CAC/Base Access eligibility.
• Willingness to travel up to 70% and deploy within 72 hours.

Responsibilities

• Perform requisitioning, stockage computation, replenishment, and tracking of equipment and publications.
• Maintain custodial records and manage issue, disposal, and redistribution.
• Utilize automated systems (hardware/software) for tasks.
• Provide training and guidance to lower level employees.
• Perform other tasks as reasonably assigned.

The Marine Corps Prepositioning Program (MCPP) is based in Jacksonville, Florida. We provide maintenance and logistic services to the U.S. Marine Corps (USMC) in support of this program. For over 35 years we have planned, coordinated, and executed the maintenance and logistic services for ground combat vehicles and support equipment for USMC Expeditionary Forces.

As the Surge Support Material Handler you will performs functions relating to the technical research, requisitioning, stockage computation and replenishment, custodial record keeping, and issue, disposal, redistribution and tracking of equipment, supplies, and publications. This includes troubleshooting and problem solving related to the above functions. Also includes the use of automated systems (both hardware and software) related to accomplishment of the above tasks. Provides training and guidance to lower level employees. Performs other tasks as reasonably assigned.

• High school graduate or equivalent.

• 4 years related experience.

• Completed Enlisted Warehouseman Basic Course at MCSSS or equivalent.

• Ability to apply detailed technical data from the technical data systems provided in the care and storage program.

• Ability to develop storage space requirements considering such factors as material, weight, cube, and clearance, within the various categories of supply.

• Ability to lift 50 pounds.

• Must be capable of operating MHE (forklifts, tractors, etc.) and bulk and small parts conveyor systems used in warehousing operations.

• Possess a valid State Motor Vehicle Operator License and able to obtain and maintain a Tactical Operator License as necessary.

• Ability to comply with all established methods, safety standards, quality standards, and time schedules applicable to this position.

• Must maintain a valid passport.

• Travel required up to 70% of the time.

• Must be deployable within 72 hours.

• U.S. Citizen.

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC) and Base Access.
