KBR is seeking a Shipboard Engineer (Construction) Equipment Mechanic for a duty assignment aboard ships with location in Jacksonville, FL. The role includes high-level maintenance and repairs of diesel and gasoline construction equipment and providing guidance to junior mechanics.
Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma, related experience, and the ability to obtain CAC and Secret Clearance. Passport and driver’s license required. Relocation not needed.
MCPP - Shipboard Engineer (Construction) Equipment Mechanic
The Marine Corps' Prepositioning (MCPP) Program is based on Blount Island in Jacksonville, Florida, WITH DUTY ASSIGNMENT ABOARD A SHIP IN GUAM, SAIPAN, OR DIEGO GARCIA. We provide maintenance and logistics services to the U.S. Marine Corps (USMC) and U.S. Navy.
Performs high level preventative maintenance and repairs to diesel engines and gasoline and diesel driven construction equipment such as tractors, power shovels, road machinery, air compressors, concrete mixers and other engine driven or towed construction equipment. Provides technical assistance, guidance, or training to lower level mechanics and assists higher level mechanics. Performs other tasks as reasonably assigned.
