Job summary

KBR seeks a Motor Transport Mechanic for the MCPP-Philippines project. You will perform maintenance and repair of motor transport equipment for the USMC, reporting to the MCPP-PHIL Maintenance Supervisor, under a one-year overseas assignment.

The role requires US citizenship, ability to obtain a Philippines work visa, current DoD secret clearance, and hands-on experience in military vehicle maintenance. Based in Jacksonville, FL with global duties.

Qualifications

• Must pass a U.S. Government FBI background investigation and obtain a Secret Clearance.
• Completion of Automotive Maintenance Technician course or equivalent.
• In lieu of Automotive Maintenance Technician course, college credits or professional certification may be accepted.
• Must have 4 years of directly related work experience.
• Ability to review and apply technical specifications and requirements.
• The ability to analyze equipment and forecast spare part quantities.
• Must be able to analyze maintenance/repair or operation to determine methods of improvement.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• U.S. Stateside Driver’s License.
• Active DoD secret security clearance.
• U.S. Passport.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Philippines Work Visa.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance actions that follow the contract SOW and Marine Corps policy.
• Repair, adjust, service, and store motor transportation equipment and systems.
• Support equipment readiness, maintenance shop organization, and control of maintenance assets.
• Review invoices and requisitions to plan work activities.
• Maintain proficiency in all maintenance functions.
• Inventory repair parts and requisition replacement stock.
• Provide requisitions for equipment, materials, and supplies.
• Comply with personnel and administrative policies, procedures, and government regulations.
• Comply with safety regulations, and handling procedures for equipment and materials.
• Comply with MCPP-PHIL ISO policies and procedures, work specifications, and time schedules.
• Interpret specifications, drawings, work orders, technical instructions, and layouts.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Program Summary

The Marine Corps Prepositioning Program (MCPP) is based in Jacksonville, Florida. We provide maintenance and logistic services to the U.S. Marine Corps (USMC) in support of this program. For over 35 years we have planned, coordinated, and executed the maintenance and logistic services for ground combat vehicles and support equipment for USMC Expeditionary Forces. Perform the installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of motor transportation equipment and systems, in support of the Marine Corps Prepositioning Program – Philippines (MCPP-PHIL). This is a CBA-Exempt, overseas assignment with a one-year commitment. The MCPP-PHIL Motor Transportation Mechanic will report directly to the MCPP-PHIL Motor Transportation Maintenance Supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance actions involving repairing, adjusting, servicing, and storing motor transportation equipment and systems.
• Support equipment readiness, maintenance shop organization, control of maintenance assets and provide advice on all matters relating to motor transportation systems maintenance. Review invoices and requisitions to plan work activities.
• Maintain proficiency in all maintenance functions.
• Inventory repair parts and equipment and requisition replacement stock.
• Provide requisitions for equipment, materials, and supplies.
• Comply with personnel and administrative policies, procedures, and government regulations.
• Comply with established safety regulations, and method and procedures for handling and storing various equipment and materials.
• Comply with MCPP-PHIL ISO policies and procedures, work specifications, and time schedules.

Basic Qualifications

• Must be able to pass a U.S. Government/FBI background investigation and obtain a Secret Clearance. Due to this, you must be a U.S. Citizen to be eligible for this position.
• Completion of related formal training such as the Automotive Maintenance Technician course or similar.
• In lieu of Automotive Maintenance Technician course, a combination of college credits, professional certification, or other education, and directly related work experience may be considered.
• Must have 4 years of directly related work experience.
• Requires the ability to review and apply technical specifications and requirements.
• The ability to analyze equipment and forecast spare part equipment is required.
• Must have the ability to analyze maintenance repair or operation to determine methods of improvement.
