Job summary

KBR, Inc. in Jacksonville, Florida, seeks a Motor Transportation Mechanic for the Marine Corps Prepositioning Program - Philippines (MCPP-PHIL). This is a CBA-Exempt, overseas one-year assignment reporting to the MCPP-PHIL Maintenance Supervisor.

Qualifications

• Must pass a U.S. Government/FBI background check and obtain a Secret Clearance.
• Completion of Automotive Maintenance Technician course or equivalent.
• 4 years of directly related work experience.
• Ability to review and apply technical specifications and requirements.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Philippines Work Visa.
• US Stateside Driver's License required.
• Active DoD secret security clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and execute motor transportation maintenance for MCPP-PHIL and associated equipment.
• Repair, adjust, service, and store motor transportation equipment and systems.
• Support equipment readiness and maintenance shop organization; review invoices and requisitions to plan work activities.
• Maintain proficiency in all maintenance functions.
• Inventory repair parts and requisition replacement stock.
• Comply with safety regulations, policies, and time schedules.
• Interpret specifications, drawings, work orders, and technical instructions.

Program Summary

The Marine Corps Prepositioning Program (MCPP) is based in Jacksonville, Florida. We provide maintenance and logistic services to the U.S. Marine Corps (USMC) in support of this program. For over 35 years we have planned, coordinated, and executed the maintenance and logistic services for ground combat vehicles and support equipment for USMC Expeditionary Forces.

Perform the installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of motor transportation equipment and systems, in support of the Marine Corps Prepositioning Program - Philippines (MCPP-PHIL). This is a CBA-Exempt, overseas assignment with a one-year commitment. The MCPP-PHIL Motor Transportation Mechanic will report directly to the MCPP-PHIL Motor Transportation Maintenance Supervisor.

Responsibilities:

Plan, coordinate, and execute the performance of motor transportation maintenance functions for MCPP-PHIL and MCPP-PHIL Organic equipment implementing the following:

• Perform maintenance actions that follows the contract Statement of Work and adheres to Marine Corps policy and procedures.
• Perform maintenance actions involving repairing, adjusting, servicing, and storing motor transportation equipment and systems.
• Support equipment readiness, maintenance shop organization, control of maintenance assets and provide advice on all matters relating to motor transportation systems maintenance. Review invoices and requisitions to plan work activities.
• Maintain proficiency in all maintenance functions.
• Inventory repair parts and equipment and requisition replacement stock.
• Provide requisitions for equipment, materials, and supplies.
• Comply with personnel and administrative policies, procedures, and government regulations.
• Comply with established safety regulations, and method and procedures for handling and storing various equipment and materials.
• Comply with MCPP-PHIL ISO policies and procedures, work specifications, and time schedules.
• Interpret specifications, drawings, work orders, technical instructions, and layouts.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications

:

• Must be able to pass a U.S. Government/FBI background investigation and obtain a Secret Clearance. Due to this, you must be a U.S. Citizen to be eligible for this position.
• Completion of related formal training such as theAutomotive Maintenance Technician course or similar.
• In lieu of Automotive Maintenance Technician course, a combination of college credits, professional certification, or other education, and directly related work experience may be considered.
• Must have 4 years of directly related work experience.
• Requires the ability to review and apply technical specifications and requirements.
• The ability to analyze equipment and forecast spare part equipment is required.
• Must have the ability to analyze maintenance repair or operation to determine methods of improvement.
• Must have strong written and oral communication skills.
