Job summary

KBR is seeking a Senior Engineer Equipment Mechanic for the Marine Corps Prepositioning Program in Jacksonville, FL. You will maintain and repair diesel engines and heavy equipment, including 50 ton cranes, 10k forklifts, and other assets, with MVAC system oversight.

Applicants should have six years of related experience, MVAC certification, Basic Engineer Program Mechanics training, a valid driver's license, CAC/Base access, and be able to work safely under program requirements.

Qualifications

• Six years of directly related work experience.
• Complete the Basic Engineer Program Mechanics Course, or equivalent.
• Complete MVAC course and hold a valid certificate.
• Must have valid state driver license and able to obtain and maintain a Tactical Operator License as necessary.
• U.S. Citizen.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a CAC and Base Access.
• Ability to use technical manuals, specifications, and measuring instrumentation.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Ability to comply with all established methods, safety standards, quality standards, and time schedules applicable to this position.

Responsibilities

• Trouble shoot and repair to MVAC system.
• Performs operator, intermediate and limited major rebuild levels of maintenance which includes spot painting.
• Provides technical assistance, guidance, or training to lower level mechanics and assists higher level mechanics.
• Performs other tasks as assigned.

Program Summary

The Marine Corps Prepositioning Program (MCPP) is based in Jacksonville, Florida. We provide maintenance and logistic services to the U.S. Marine Corps (USMC) in support of this program. For over 35 years we have planned, coordinated, and executed the maintenance and logistic services for ground combat vehicles and support equipment for USMC Expeditionary Forces.

Job Summary

Performs the most technical and complex duties involved in the maintenance and repair of diesel engines and gasoline and diesel driven material handling and construction equipment such as 50 Ton hydraulic cranes, container handlers, 10k forklifts, tractors, power shovels, road machinery, air compressors, concrete mixers and other engine driven or towed construction equipment.

• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
