The Marine Corps Prepositioning Program (MCPP) at Jacksonville, FL, seeks a skilled Equipment Mechanic to maintain and repair diesel engines and related construction equipment. You will inspect engines, troubleshoot MVAC systems, and perform rebuilds at various levels while training junior staff.
Must lift up to 50 pounds, hold a high school diploma or equivalent, complete required MVAC and mechanics courses, and possess a valid driver license with CAC/Base access.

The Marine Corps Prepositioning Program (MCPP) is based in Jacksonville, Florida. We provide maintenance and logistic services to the U.S. Marine Corps (USMC) in support of this program. For over 35 years we have planned, coordinated, and executed the maintenance and logistic services for ground combat vehicles and support equipment for USMC Expeditionary Forces.
Performs the most technical and complex duties involved in the maintenance and repair of diesel engines and gasoline and diesel driven material handling and construction equipment such as 50 Ton hydraulic cranes, container handlers, 10k forklifts, tractors, power shovels, road machinery, air compressors, concrete mixers and other engine driven or towed construction equipment. Trouble shoot and repair to MVAC system. Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Performs operator, intermediate and limited major rebuild levels of maintenance which includes spot painting. Provides technical assistance, guidance, or training to lower level mechanics and assists higher level mechanics. Performs other tasks as assigned.
