HII’s Newport News Shipbuilding is seeking a Systems Engineer to lead MBSE implementation on the SSNX program, guiding requirements, verification, and architecture across the lifecycle. The role emphasizes collaboration with engineering teams and external stakeholders to ensure alignment with customer needs.

The position requires a Bachelor's in engineering (ABET-accredited) with 5+ years of exempt experience, or higher degrees with corresponding years, and US citizenship.

• Bachelor's Degree in engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• 5 years of relevant exempt experience; Master’s Degree with 3 years; Ph.D. with 0 years.
• US Citizenship required for this position.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the implementation of systems engineering on SSNX future class fast-attack nuclear powered submarine across the systems lifecycle including requirements development and management, verification and validation, and systems architecting.
• Lead the development and refinement of MBSE processes, frameworks, and best practices to be applied on the SSNX program.
• Lead one to three MBSE projects.
• Collaborate with discipline engineering teams, program management, and external stakeholders to ensure alignment with customer needs.
• Drive the adoption and execution of MBSE methodologies across programs to enhance efficiency and decision making.
• Mentor early career systems engineers.
