Job summary

KBR seeks a highly motivated MBSE Systems Engineer to support an Intelligence Community Space customer. The successful candidate will possess an understanding of government space architecture and modelling and simulation of space systems in a Digital Engineering Environment.

Responsibilities include modeling, validating requirements, and developing CONOPs, architecture products, and analysis tools for space system resilience. Location is on site with minimal travel; TS/SCI with Poly is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in the STEM field.
• 5+ years' experience in the space systems domain.
• Prior experience with satellite systems.
• Experience in modeling and simulation.
• Experience analyzing and summarizing data with Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to generate and maintain technical documentation and reports.

Responsibilities

• Modeling and simulation of space systems, space, and ground segments.
• Provide technical expertise in systems and engineering to support resilience enterprise mission operations activities, programs, systems, and processes.
• Support modeling and simulation, including threat assessments/impacts, trades, and analyses.
• Communicate technical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Participate in system design reviews and technical interchange meetings.
• Interface with customers, directorate/office representatives, and across system engineering groups to drive resolution plans and strategies for complex technical challenges.

MBSE Systems Engineer

KBR seeks a highly motivated Systems Engineer to support an Intelligence Community Space customer. The successful candidate will possess an understanding of government space architecture and systems, insight into resiliency mission fundamentals, and the ability to perform modeling and simulation of complex space systems in a Digital Engineering Environment. Modeling and Simulation activities will support the development and validation of requirements, Concepts of Operations (CONOPs), architecture products, and the development and integration of simulation and analysis tools for space system resilience-related activities in the overall Enterprise.

Responsibilities:

• Modeling and simulation of space systems, space, and ground segments

• Provide technical expertise in systems and engineering to support resilience enterprise mission operations activities, programs, systems, and processes

• Support modeling and simulation, including threat assessments/impacts, trades, and analyses

• Experience with UML/SysML/UAF models

• Experience working in an Agile development environment

• Familiarity with IC and/or DoD

Basic Compensation:

$175,000 - $220,000

This range is for the Virginia area only.

The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities, and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
