Job summary

Draper in Cambridge, MA is seeking a Systems Analysis Engineer 1 to apply advanced digital engineering for complex systems across defense, space, and biotech domains.

You will contribute to trade studies, concept/architecture design, integration, testing, and operation while collaborating with diverse teams and external partners. A foundational engineering degree and MBSE tool experience are required, with growth opportunities and a path to U.S. security clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical or related field.
• 0–3 years of systems analysis experience.
• Experience with MBSE tools such as SysML; MATLAB/Simulink a plus.
• Desirable ability to integrate modeling tools with simulation tools.

Responsibilities

• Independently execute system engineering lifecycle assignments including design, integration, testing and operation.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations with guidance.
• Adapt to changing program priorities and requirements.
• Identify challenges and communicate them to project leadership.
• Continue expanding technical depth through formal and informal learning.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external partners.
• Translate requirements into technical and architectural decisions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
