Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Systems Engineer (Level 2 or 3) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located on site in Melbourne, Florida.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Demonstrated foundation in Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), including requirements analysis, architecture development, and model integration.
• Ability to review models for compliance with organizational modeling standards and best practices.
• Work on an agile team utilizing Jira to track work progress
• Communicate effectively and clearly present technical approaches and findings at technical and program reviews and boards.
• Apply extensive technical expertise in the development of technical solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Systems Engineer : Bachelor of Science degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) discipline and 2 years of related professional/military experience, OR a Master of Science degree in a STEM discipline and 0 years of related professional/military experience.
• Principal Systems Engineer: Bachelor of Science degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) discipline and 5 years of related professional/military experience, OR a Master of Science degree in a STEM discipline and 3 years of related professional/military experience, OR a PhD in a STEM discipline and 1 year of experience.
• Your ability to transfer and maintain the final adjudicated government Secret clearance (must be in-scope or enrolled in Continuous Evaluation) and any program access(es) required for the position within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the Company.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Systems engineering experience across requirements, architecture, integration, verification, and validation
• Proficiency with Agile workflows (e.g., Scrum/Kanban), including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and iterative delivery
• Experience developing and implementing configuration management for MBSE models and architecture baselines (e.g., versioning, baselining, traceability, change control) in tools such such as Cameo/MagicDraw or Rhapsody
• Proven ability to operate effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with evolving priorities and timelines
• Experience collaborating with multi-discipline stakeholders (e.g., systems, software, hardware, specialty engineering) to develop and refine system architectures.
• Experience working across organizations and functional boundaries to coordinate technical integration and resolve issues.

Secondary Level Salary Range: $98,400.00 - $147,600.00
