G2 Ops is seeking a Model Based System Engineer in San Diego to develop and maintain MBSE platform models for Navy communications. You will use Cameo to capture architectures, requirements, and interfaces, ensuring models remain authoritative and reusable across teams.

The role requires a 3+ year background in systems engineering, MBSE, and a DoD/government context, with hybrid in-office work and potential for security clearance collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, engineering, or related discipline.
• 3+ years in systems engineering, MBSE, or related role.
• Experience developing and maintaining system models using Cameo Systems Modeler.
• Ability to develop clear, accurate, and maintainable models.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain submarine shore-communication platform models using Cameo.
• Apply MBSE to capture architecture, requirements, interfaces, relationships.
• Maintain multiple models as authoritative sources of truth for teams.
• Support digital engineering transition and model usability improvements.
• Collaborate with engineers to ensure models reflect architectures and requirements.
• Ensure model quality, traceability, and configuration across models.
• Use model data to support analysis, decisions, and cross-discipline communication.
• Identify opportunities to improve modeling practices and workflows.
• Contribute to reliability of submarine communications infrastructure.
