Job summary

Vanguard’s MBA Leadership Development Program offers three 5-month rotations across Vanguard to accelerate leadership development. It combines hands-on experience with rigorous enrichment to grow skills in strategic thinking, relationship management, and executive presence.

You’ll engage in high-impact assignments, receive coaching from senior leaders, and participate in onboarding that builds baseline investment acumen while integrating into a strong alumni network.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate and MBA degree required.
• Minimum of 5 years work experience post undergrad with increasing responsibilities and impact.
• Exposure to strategy, consulting, or business analytics.
• Excellent relationship management and leadership skills.
• Clear and effective communicator.
• Ability to work in a matrixed environment.

The MBA Development Program offers participants the opportunity to contribute to strategic Vanguard initiatives as part of three, 5-month rotations across Vanguard with the goal of accelerating the participant's development into leadership. At the program level

During the program you will

• Tackle business challenges with rigor, demonstrating the ability to successfully acclimate into each area, understand the objectives of the assignment in the broader context of Vanguard, exceed or achieve rotation objectives with accountability for all projects and assignments
• Build sound business and investment skills through onboarding and rotations. Apply understanding of Vanguard's investment methodology, products and services, and the competitive environment to deliver and complete high-impact projects.
• Conduct efficient and detailed research and analysis of strategic, driven, product/service and business model opportunities and issues confronting Vanguard.
• Interpret and analyze both internal and external data of high complexity using conceptual thinking and discernment to derive key insights for strategic projects.
• Refine presentation and leadership impact skills through formal and informal training through peer, mentor, and leader feedback.
• Engage in continual personal and professional development with a proven dedication to training and research and building tenacious personal learning habits.
• Manage projects from inception through implementation ensuring project requirements are met.

What it takes

• You have an undergraduate and MBA degree. A minimum of 5 years work experience post undergrad reflecting a progression of increased responsibilities and impact, including exposure to strategy, consulting, or business analytics.
• Comfort with ambiguity and a willingness to explore challenges and pivot as needed. This requires intentional reflection, partnership, and collaboration on your part.
• Deep curiosity and interest in investment management and demonstrated agility in learning.
• Excellent relationship management and leadership skills.
• Clear and effective communicator.
• You can make strategic decisions with an ability to collaboratively influence and effectively interact at all levels, both internally and externally in a matrixed environment.

Benefits

• Base Pay: $145,000
• Pay for performance, including annual performance bonuses, merit increases, and an annual Partnership bonus.
