Job summary

CoStar Group is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Matterport Business Services team in Sunnyvale, CA. The role focuses on architecting scalable services for the Matterport Platform, handling billions of requests monthly, and collaborating with product, design and engineering teams.

You will design and deploy APIs, data pipelines and orchestrated services, while solving complex integration challenges and ensuring robust live environments. This is a hybrid role with Friday remote options.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
• 8+ years of IT software development experience.
• 5+ years of experience developing cloud platform integration.
• 4+ years of hands-on experience developing services in modern OOP languages (Java, Kotlin, Python or .NET)
• Strong familiarity with UI frameworks like Angular or React
• 3+ years of experience developing enterprise application services with platforms such as NetSuite, Oracle ERP or Salesforce

Responsibilities

• Provide solutions with understanding of end-to-end business process flow.
• Work with cross-functional team of product managers, designers, and engineers

About the Role:

Matterport seeks an enthusiastic Senior Software Engineer to join our Business Services team. You’ll be responsible for architecting and designing scalable services for the Matterport Platform which serves billions of requests a month. The ideal candidate is an individual who thrives on new challenges, possesses a strong product development and application integration background, comfortable and interested in coding and has a drive to invent. This position is located in Sunnyvale, CA and offers a schedule of Monday to Thursday in the office and the option to work from home on Friday.

Basic Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field from an accredited, not for profit university or college
• 8+ years of IT software development experience.
• 5+ years of experience developing cloud platform integration
• 4+ years of hand-on experience developing services in modern OOP languages such as: Java, Kotlin, Python or .NET
• Familiarity with UI frameworks like Angular or React
• 3+ years of experience developing enterprise application services with platforms such as but not limited to NetSuite, Oracle ERP or Salesforce
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills in all areas of development
• A track record of developing testable and maintainable code
• Demonstrated experience building and developing teams in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
• Track record of commitment to prior employers

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience designing and working on complex application implementation in the areas such as order to cash, record to report, hire to retire, procure to pay
• Familiarity with entities such as Orders, customer master, product, price book, invoice and SaaS subscription.
• Hands on Experience with Linux, MySQL or PostgreSQL, and Github
• Familiar with Gradle, Docker & Kubernetes, CI/CD SDLC processes
• Familiar with agentic AI frameworks, preferably Claude Code

This position offers an annual salary range from $144,000 - $210,000 determined by relevant skills and experience, in addition to a generous benefits plan.
