Great Hearts is hiring for an Algebra 1 & 2 Teacher in San Antonio, Texas. Great Hearts is a growing, multi-state network of 48 public, open-enrollment charter schools, committed to provide a high-quality, classical liberal arts education to 30,000 K-12 students in Texas, Arizona, and Louisiana.

Responsibilities

• Teach Algebra 1 & 2 to students, applying algebraic reasoning and problem solving.
• Engage students through discussion and discovery, emphasizing clarity of thought and precision.
• Contribute to the core curriculum and uphold the school’s liberal arts philosophy and Socratic pedagogy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher degree is required for a lead teaching role.
• Certification is not required for general education.
• All majors are welcome.
• U.S. work authorization is required.
• Ability to demonstrate qualification to teach the subjects assigned.
