University of Kansas is seeking a Chair for the Department of Mathematics in the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences. The position provides leadership and oversight of all department activities, teaching, research, and service duties, with a 5-year term through June 30, 2032 and potential renewal.

The Chair oversees budget, faculty evaluation, promotions, and external funding while fostering collaboration across units and with the College and University administration.

• Strong record of scholarly achievement and ongoing research.

Responsabilidades

• Lead operation of the Department of Mathematics and oversee all unit activities.
• Administer the department budget and evaluate faculty performance.
• Represent the department to the College and University and oversee policy implementation.
• Develop and sustain external funding and oversee faculty promotions.
