Job summary

Lone Peak is seeking a math tutor to work in the math study hall, assist the supervising teacher there, and help students before school, during school, and after school with understanding the math assigned during class. Tutors support our math department and help students understand concepts taught in class.

Qualifications

• Age 18+
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must complete mandatory employee training within the first 3 months of employment.
• Candidates with a math background or a math teaching license are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Adapts classroom activities to support and reinforce objectives and IEP goals.
• Maintains supervision of students and safety in non-classroom times.
• Provides instruction to students individually or in groups to reinforce learning concepts.
• Assists in data collection and monitors student progress.
• Supports in-class clerical duties and materials management.
• Communicates with supervising staff regarding progress and IEP/504 objectives.
