Houston City College invites applications for a part-time Faculty Tutor III- Math to support students across transfer and non-transfer math courses. You will provide tutoring, develop exemplars, and assist in tracking student progress in a diverse, multicultural setting.

The position requires a math credential to teach, at least three years of tutoring or related experience, and strong communication skills. Evening and weekend availability is expected to support a varied student schedule.

Qualificações

• Three years of relevant work experience in the related academic area of study.
• Same credential as required to teach in the subject area.

Responsabilidades

• Tutor all students in any setting, including college-level academic transfer courses.
• Ask and answer academic questions, using examples relating to a particular subject.
• Provide analytic and diagnostic services for students increasing affective work results.
• Process new students assuring individuals’ learning needs are met.
• Provide support services required during semester.
• Evaluate and recommend tutoring materials.
• May assist in tracking student performance.
• Other duties may be assigned.
