Job summary

Ampact is seeking Math Tutors to help students improve their skills in Decatur, Georgia, for the 2026-27 school year. As a tutor, you will work with groups of students, providing focused support and tracking their progress throughout the school year.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, be dependable, and be fluent in English. This position offers 35 hours per week with daytime hours and opportunities for part-time work.

Full-time AmeriCorps members receive a bi-weekly stipend and other perks, making a significant impact in students’ lives.

Qualifications

• Dependable and have a history of good attendance.
• Able to follow instructions and make improvements based on feedback.
• Proficient in basic computer skills like email.
• Fluent in English for speaking, reading, and writing.
• 18 years of age or older with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• A citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident of the U.S.
• Ability to successfully complete a background check.

Responsibilities

• Be a caring adult focused on helping children thrive.
• Lead tutoring sessions and follow a schedule.
• Track student progress and meet with the on-site coach.
• Conduct skill assessments and enter student scores.
