Job summary

Catapult Learning is seeking an Assistant Math Teacher for a private Kailua school. This full-time, in-person role supports Tier 2 math interventions for grades K-8 and collaborates with the Tier 1 lead teacher to align content.

The candidate should have a high school diploma, 2+ years teaching/co-teaching experience, and a preference for elementary education credentials. Schedule is Monday–Friday on campus, 7:30a–3p, with standard on-site benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Teaching or co-teaching experience of at least 2 years (K-12).
• Teacher certification or degree in elementary education is highly preferred.
• Must be comfortable and knowledgeable on math instruction for K-8 students.
• Must communicate effectively with individuals.
• On-campus schedule: Monday–Friday 7:30a–3p (in-person).
• Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Support small groups of students with supplemental math instruction (Tier 2).
• Collaborate with Tier 1 lead teacher to align intervention with class content.
• Facilitate implementation of instructional programs, class work, and assessments.
• Maintain instructional materials and computer lab components.
• Conduct attendance and program tracking and reports.
• Monitor students’ materials use and behavior to keep them on task.
• Foster a positive classroom environment and confidentiality.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
