Job summary

TrulyHired is seeking a qualified Math teacher for middle/junior high to deliver engaging lessons and monitor student progress toward essential academic skills. Experience with diverse learners and bilingual/biliterate preferred.

You will plan and implement instruction aligned with state standards, adapt lessons to individual needs, and foster a classroom environment conducive to learning. Maintain accurate records and prepare substitute materials as needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to work cooperatively with parents, school districts and agencies.
• Strong grasp of subject matter and effective oral/written expression.
• Bilingual/biliterate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plans and implements a program of instruction aligned to district objectives.
• Develops purposeful lesson plans, uses effective teaching strategies, and maximizes time on task.
• Monitors student progress and provides interim reports as required.
• Plans with paraprofessionals, tutors and volunteers as needed.
• Communicates with parents to strengthen the educational program.
• Respects confidentiality of records and maintains professional ethics.
