Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in the subject area with Michigan teaching certification.
• Pathway to certification must be completed within two years.
• Understanding of Ignatian pedagogy and Jesuit values.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and implement lessons aligned to the Michigan Merit Curriculum.
• Teach five classes per week, one lunch period and one planning period.
• Develop strong relationships with students while maintaining accountability.
• Foster conceptual thinking, problem solving, and content mastery.
• Communicate with parents about grades and behavior when applicable.
• Update gradebook each pay period and collaborate with staff to meet student needs.
