Job summary

Kaleidoscope Education Solutions is seeking a PA Certified Math Teacher for 8th grade in Aston, PA to plan, deliver and assess engaging math lessons aligned with Pennsylvania standards.

The role requires a PA teaching certificate, a math degree, and experience teaching middle school math; you’ll collaborate with parents and staff, and work as an independent contractor with flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or a closely-related field.
• Valid Pennsylvania instructional certificate appropriate for middle-level math as outlined by Pennsylvania Department of Education.
• Experience teaching a math curriculum.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop and deliver engaging mathematics lessons aligned with Pennsylvania state standards and the school/district curriculum.
• Facilitate hands-on, problem-solving and real-world math activities (e.g., algebraic reasoning, geometry, data/measurement) appropriate for middle school students.
• Regularly assess students' learning (quizzes, tests, projects), monitor progress, and tailor instruction/intervention accordingly.
• Create and maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment, manage behavior, and support students' mathematical mindset and growth.
• Communicate with parents/guardians and collaborate with colleagues (e.g., grade-team, special education, intervention staff) and maintain accurate records of student achievement, attendance, and behavior.
