Qualifications

• Enrollment as an undergraduate or graduate student at American University (AU).
• Strong academic performance in relevant subject areas (Math/Stats/Data Science).
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Completion of the same or equivalent course and at least one subsequent course in the subject.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and delivering instructional materials as directed by the course instructor.
• Lead discussions, tutorials, and review sessions; assist during lab sessions as assigned.
• Hold regular office hours to help students understand course material.
• Assist in grading of assignments, quizzes, exams, and other coursework.
• Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance as requested.
• Assist with test administration and proctoring.
• Provide feedback to the instructor regarding student progress or difficulties.
• Participate in TA training and meetings when required.
• Adhere to academic integrity policies and uphold the department's professionalism and confidentiality.
