The University of Minnesota’s School of Mathematics invites applications for an Interdisciplinary Postdoctoral position beginning Fall 2026 or Spring 2027. We seek candidates who combine strong math with collaboration across physics, engineering, medicine, or social sciences.

The successful candidate will be co-mentored by mathematics faculty and a partner in another department, with a teaching load of two one-semester courses per year.

Qualifications

• Applicants must hold a Ph.D. or equivalent in mathematics or a closely related field.
• Strong evidence of interdisciplinary research and collaboration.
• Ability to apply mathematical and computational methods to problems in other disciplines.
