Job summary

Mathnasium Mountain View-Los Altos is seeking part-time math tutors to teach in-center, online, or hybrid formats using the Mathnasium Method. You will help students with homework and teach math concepts based on Mathnasium principles in a small-group environment.

Ideal candidates are passionate about math, possess strong interpersonal skills, and demonstrate proficiency in Algebra I. Training and curriculum are provided, with flexible after-school and weekend hours to fit student schedules.

Qualifications

• Passion for math and working with students.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for effective instruction and communication.
• Strong math competency through Algebra I or higher.

Responsibilities

• Teach/tutor in-center, online, and/or via hybrid delivery using Mathnasium methods and materials.
• Help students with homework and teach math based on Mathnasium principles.
• Collaborate with teammates to deliver individualized instruction in a small-group setting.
• Assess students’ learning progress and engagement during sessions.
• Become proficient with digital educational materials and processes.

• Work collaboratively with team members to deliver individualized instruction in a small group setting
• Assess students’ learning progress and engagement throughout instructional sessions
• Become proficient with digital educational materials and processes

• Exceptional math competency through at least Algebra I.
• All applicants will be required to take a math literacy test to demonstrate math proficiency, provide work authorization, and pass a background check.
