As a Math Instructor you will teach small core groups, monitor progress through Vanguard’s unique curriculum, and develop engaging lesson plans while mentoring middle and high school students in a collaborative, growth‑oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in mathematics, education, or related STEM field
• GPA of 3.5 or higher
• Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and G-Suites
• Access to a reliable internet connection and a workspace with minimal noise/distraction
• Teaching experience in math and/or experience working in a college-level tutoring center (1+ years)
• Ideal candidate will have experience teaching at college or community college level

Responsibilities

• Instruct small core groups of students in math core skills to promote long-term understanding and top scores
• Track progress as students move through Vanguard’s curriculum
• Maintain and update student lesson schedules on our online platform
• Develop and execute lesson plans and curriculum
• Mentor middle and high school students with empathy and understanding of college admissions stress
