Job summary

Pearson is seeking a Specialist, Content Developer (Mathematics) to join the Asset Creation team. You will develop and review content and assessment items for K-12 state and district clients, leveraging AI to enhance quality and accessibility.

Responsibilities include item development, testing blueprints, and collaborating with educators and psychometricians. Some travel is required; strong communication and adaptability are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education, content-specific area, or equivalent experience.
• Five years’ experience as an elementary or secondary teacher in the field of content-specific area preferred.
• Professional knowledge of content-specific area and educational trends required.
• Small to moderate experience with large-scale educational measurement preferred.
• Demonstrated excellence in AI-supported content development or strong potential to use AI effectively.

Responsibilities

• Develop and review content-specific test items across grade levels for large-scale assessments.
• Assist in creating item/passage/blueprint specifications and related docs.
• Use AI-powered tools to support content development while meeting quality and accessibility standards.
• Collaborate with teammates to integrate AI-generated assets in assessment workflows.
