Job summary

Fusion Academy is a fully accredited private school for grades 5–12. As a Math and Science Teacher, you’ll shape schedules, design creative lessons, and collaborate with passionate colleagues.

Responsibilities include teaching a wide range of math and science courses, mentoring students, and partnering with families. A Bachelor's degree is required; advanced degrees or credentials are a plus. This is a full-time on-site position at our Chicago campus.

As a Math and Science Teacher, you’ll have the flexibility to shape your schedule, design creative lessons, and collaborate with passionate colleagues. Please note: Not all campuses serve grades 4 and 5, and specific details will be shared during the interview process.

What You’ll Do:

  • Teach in a truly personalized way — one student at a time.

  • Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to campus life or culture.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degrees or a teaching credential is a plus.
  • Ability and willingness to teach a wide range of science and math courses (Earth, Physical, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Astronomy, Earth Space, Anatomy & Physiology, Marine Biology, Zoology, Integrated, Basic Math, Pre-Algebra, Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, Pre-Calculus, Trigonometry, Statistics, Business & Consumer Math, and Calculus), following content standards — curriculum and resources provided.
  • Experience working with students, including those with learning differences, neurodiversity, accelerated learning needs, and/or mental health challenges.
  • Mentoring experience and a passion for social-emotional learning.
  • Outgoing, adaptable, and eager to thrive in a dynamic, student-centered environment.
  • Skilled with technology, curious about innovation, and open to learning new tools.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • A growth mindset with the flexibility to pivot and problem-solve as needed.
