Gideon Math & Reading is seeking friendly, reliable adults to join our after-school tutoring team in Irving, TX. You will guide small groups of students (ages 4 to 13) through Gideon curriculum, fostering independent learning at a calm, supportive table.
Training will be provided to ensure classroom readiness. Positions are ideal for college students or individuals with prior work experience who enjoy education, patient instruction, and helping children achieve their school goals.
Note: Must be over 20 years old and must be available to work from 3:30 PM.
We are looking for friendly, helpful, reliable adults (college students or people with some type of work experience , No high schoolers) who love working with children! As an instructor/tutor, you will be working with students ranging in ages generally from 4 (pre-kindergarteners) to 13 (older middle school). We will train you thoroughly on Gideon Math & Reading curriculum and methods. Our goal for each student is for him to achieve any school goals he may have, whether it is to catch up, keep up, or stay ahead of grade-level work.
Gideon is an after-school math and reading center that builds confidence through academic mastery. Through our step-by-step curriculum, we strengthen and grow a child’s education by going at the student’s pace and only progressing into the next topic once the child shows competency.
Gideon is a fun, calm learning environment to help children catch up, keep up, and stay ahead! You get to help kids and not work early mornings or late nights.
Gideon is passionate about building a child’s confidence to show them what is possible with some extra practice in math and reading.
Through our training, you will guide up to 4 students at a time through the Gideon curriculum while helping the students develop an independent approach to learning. You will be the positive and patient instructor for the students as they sit with you at a table to work through their pre-assigned booklets. You will keep the students focused and answer any questions they have.
