Job summary

Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro, MA is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver compassionate, patient-centered care across units. You will apply the nursing process, collaborate with care teams, and educate patients and families.

Responsibilities include accurate vital signs, medication administration, documenting care, and participating in quality improvement. A valid MA RN license and BLS are required, with ACLS/PALS as specified per unit.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred; required for Cardiac Rehab.
• Current Massachusetts state RN license.
• All RNs must have current BLS certification.
• ACLS is required with BLS for specified units.
• NRP is required with ACLS and BLS for LDRP.
• PALS is required with ACLS and BLS for PACU and ED.
• New Graduate Nurses accepted for some positions.
• Excellent communication and customer services skills required.
• Must have excellent interpersonal communication, good organizational skills, and adaptability.
• Command of verbal and written English.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in acute care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely, positive responses to the needs of all customers including patients, families, co-workers, and physicians.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to develop care plans.
• Regularly assess and record vital signs to monitor patient status.
• Gather and document patients' medical history and current health status.
• Assess patients for care needs, changes in condition, and response to treatment.
• Administer and record medications according to orders and protocols.
• Independently administer nursing care using relevant techniques for the patient.
• Delegate care in accordance with MA Nurse Practice Act and hospital guidelines.
• Maintain accurate patient records and nursing plans of care.
• Provide emotional support and education to patients and families.
• Respond to medical emergencies and initiate appropriate interventions.
• Ensure patient confidentiality at all times.
• Utilize and maintain medical equipment as required.
