Holy Cross Hospital in Silver Spring, MD seeks an experienced Director of Nursing to lead the Maternity Suites unit. You will drive clinical excellence and patient experience while fostering a supportive, innovative environment for staff and families.

Key responsibilities include leading daily operations, mentoring staff, pursuing quality improvement, ensuring regulatory compliance, and collaborating across departments to sustain a family-centered care model.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required.
• Maryland RN license and/or Compact State licensure.
• Minimum 5 years of clinical experience, with at least 3 years in nursing leadership within an acute care setting.
• Specialty nursing certification required within six months of hire.
• Proven ability to lead clinical teams, manage complex workflows, and build strong relationships across departments.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Responsabilités

• Lead daily operations of the Maternity Suites unit, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality care for mothers and newborns.
• Supervise and mentor clinical staff, promoting ongoing education, professional growth, and team engagement.

• Oversee regulatory compliance and uphold standards set by accrediting bodies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support a patient-centered, family-focused model of care.
• Steward resources and staffing to achieve operational and financial efficiency.
