Position Overview

University Health Physicians and the UMKC Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology seek a BC/BE Maternal‑Fetal Medicine faculty member to join our practice serving high‑acuity patients. The position reports to the Chair of OB/GYN, Anthony Odibo, MD, clinical chair for University Health. The role is based at the University Health Truman Medical Center, the only LevelIV designated maternal care centre in western Missouri, which now has a brand‑new Level3 NICU and a newly remodeled labour and delivery area.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical care for high‑risk patients at the LevelIV maternity centre.
• Serve as faculty teaching residents, fellows, and medical students in the UMKC School of Medicine.
• Participate in bench and translational research and publish findings in peer‑reviewed journals.
• Collaborate with specialty consultants (pediatric nephrologists, cardiologists, neurologists, geneticists, radiologists) for comprehensive care.
• Mentor fellows through the Maternal‑Fetal Medicine fellowship program.

Fellowship Program

The Maternal‑Fetal Medicine fellowship program has one fellow per year, rotating at three hospitals: University Health‑Truman Medical Center, the UMKC School of Medicine, and Children’s Mercy Hospital. Fellows participate in clinical care, bench research, and mentoring of residents and students.
