Overview

Maternal Fetal Medicine, Assistant Professor, Clinician Educator track

Location: Philadelphia, PA

Responsibilities
  • Teaching responsibilities may include teaching and supervising medical students, Ob/Gyn residents and MFM fellows, and participation in formal curriculum.
  • Clinical responsibilities may include out-patient consultations for high risk obstetrical, maternal and fetal conditions, obstetrical ultrasound, antenatal testing, prenatal genetic diagnosis, as well as in-patient consultation and obstetrical care.
  • Research or scholarship responsibilities may include basic, translational and/or clinic research. The division has a fellowship program and a Pregnancy and Perinatal Research Center (PPRC) supporting basic, translational and clinical research. The division is one of the NICHD MFM Unit sites and home to one of five March of Dimes Prematurity Research Centers.
  • Successful candidates will join the established Division of Maternal Fetal Medicine with clinical programs at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Pennsylvania Hospital, Chester County Hospital and a network of satellite practices in New Jersey. Candidates will participate in patient safety and quality initiatives.
Qualifications

Expertise in Maternal Fetal Medicine. Proficiency in obstetrical ultrasound. An M.D. degree. Board certified or active candidates for certification by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology with subspecialty training and board certification or active candidates for certification in maternal fetal medicine.
