Job description

Maternal Child Clinical Faculty (part-time), OK

Chamberlain College of Nursing needs qualified Maternal Child Faculty (Part-Time) in our Bachelors of Science in Nursing program in Oklahoma.

Teaching is onsite (in clinical setting) with one of our clinical partners. Schedule: most commonly 12‑hour rotations (7a‑7p) for three to four consecutive days.

Responsibilities

• Implements the College’s philosophy, curriculum, and course objectives through clinical teaching and service.
• Assumes responsibility for autonomous teaching assignments and supervises nursing students delivering care to individuals or groups.
• Plans clinical experiences, provides direct supervision, and evaluates student performance based on course objectives.
• Provides documented feedback to students on performance level and available for remediation as needed.
• Keeps current knowledge of agency/clinical policies and maintains clinical assignments consistent with student learning needs.
• Grades homework, quizzes, tests, and clinical paperwork in a timely manner.
• May teach didactic course content under supervision of the course coordinator.
• Reports to the dean or assistant dean and collaborates with college administration and faculty to improve operations and student satisfaction.
• Serves as a professional role model in customer service, collaboration, communication, excellence, and professionalism.

Qualifications

• Master’s or doctoral degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited institution.
• Unencumbered professional nursing license in the state of Oklahoma.
• At least two years of professional experience within the last five years in the area of instruction as a registered nurse.
• Teaching or precepting experience preferred but not required.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and passion for nursing education.
• Eager to serve students and colleagues with respect, care, and a sense of purpose.
• Illinois RN License required to teach all courses (course assignments prioritized to professors currently licensed in Illinois).
