Job Description Summary

The Materials Training and Operations Leader is a critical role responsible for ensuring operational excellence within the materials management organization. This role will be the primary subject matter expert for materials processes in our ERP system, bridging the gap between system capabilities and daily tactical execution. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver dedicated to standardizing processes and ensuring our team has the tools and knowledge to succeed.

Job Description
Core Responsibilities
Training and Development
  • Design and execute comprehensive 30/60/90-day training milestones for new Material Requirements Planners (MRPs), Buyers, and other materials organization employees.
  • Conduct ongoing training sessions to ensure team proficiency in ERP systems, procurement best practices, planning best practices, and inventory management strategies.
  • Identify knowledge gaps and provide coaching to enhance team performance and accuracy.
Process Governance and Creation
  • Lead development, documentation, and maintenance Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all core materials processes to ensure consistency and compliance in partnership with key materials organization stakeholders.
  • Perform gap analysis to identify missing processes and create robust new processes. Understand potential and actual failure modes in processes supporting the materials organization such as Master Data, Engineering Change Management, etc. to develop control plans to ensure ability of the organization to effectively execute planning and procurement.
  • Partner with Global Digital Process Authority stakeholders to align local practices with established global materials standards, ensuring that global updates are seamlessly integrated into local processes.
  • Regularly review existing processes to drive continuous improvement and eliminate operational inefficiencies.
System Support and Troubleshooting
  • Serve as support for system-related issues, troubleshooting errors within the ERP/MRP environment.
  • Serve as a subject-matter-expert to support root-cause analysis for systemic materials discrepancies, inventory inaccuracies, or procurement bottlenecks.
  • Partner with IT and cross-functional teams on system functionality and reporting, ensuring they align with materials operational needs.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree with 7+ years of experience in manufacturing
  • Associate's Degree with 9+ years of experience in manufacturing
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience: 7+ years of experience in supply chain, materials management, or procurement.
  • Systems Expertise: Proven mastery of ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar) and advanced knowledge of materials process logic.
  • Leadership/Training: Demonstrated ability to create training materials and mentor staff in a fast-paced environment.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to translate complex system issues into clear, actionable solutions.
  • Communication: Excellent technical writing skills for SOP development and the ability to communicate complex concepts to diverse audiences.

Relocation Assistance Provided: Yes

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $104,600.00 and $174,400.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set.

Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
