Key responsibilities include operating material handling equipment, coordinating on-the-job training for new staff, revising SOPs, and participating in L1 inspections. The position requires SAP experience and adherence to quality, safety, and DOT requirements.

Samsung Biologics is looking for a Materials Technician to join the team. This role is responsible for performing manual and administrative duties related to the receiving, inspection, storage, issuance, and distribution of materials, equipment, and supplies within a cGMP-compliant warehouse environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• General Operates material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand trucks to move stock or organize materials
• Coordinates and leads training for on the job training of new team members
• Revises standard operating procedures
• Trained as an L1 Auditor and participate in >25% of department’s L1 Inspections
• Shipping and Receiving Performs receipt and quarantine of incoming cGMP raw materials in SAP per quality and safety requirements
• Performs raw material control sampling and consumable inspection following appropriate material specifications and input into sample tracking system
• Executes the shipping of bulk drug product per cGMP procedures to ensure quality, integrity and on time delivery
• Follows DOT requirements for transport of materials
• Inventory Control Ensures inventory levels remain accurate in SAP and perform periodic inventory checks
• Creates and coordinates the dispensing schedule of controlled raw materials for on time delivery to manufacturing
• Performs bulk drug freeze down procedures including use of controlled rate freezing equipment

The anticipated hourly rate for this position in Maryland is $23.28 - $31.04 plus shift differential and annual bonus, when eligible. The final hourly rate offered to a successful candidate may vary, and will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to: the type and length of experience within the job, type and length of experience within the industry, skillset, education, business needs, etc.
