The role directs production control, inventory, shipping and receiving, and materials stores. You will lead a team, maintain optimal inventory levels, coordinate with purchasing, and implement reporting systems to improve efficiency and cost control.

• Excellent communication skills via written and oral.
• MBA is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Maintains optimum inventory levels to ensure on-time deliveries while minimizing carrying costs.
• Supervises year-end physical inventory and perpetual inventory accuracy.
• Directs write-offs of obsolescent and damaged inventory.
• Oversees production control planning and scheduling to meet forecasts.
• Maintains contact with customers regarding releases and deliveries.
• Coordinates with purchasing to schedule material deliveries and resolve shortages.
• Develops reporting systems related to materials function.
• Manages shipping and receiving and storage of purchased parts and finished goods.
• Keeps abreast of new sources of supply to maximize JIT practices.
• Ensures procedures are followed in materials functions.
• Motivates and develops subordinates for growth.
• Other duties as assigned.
