Job summary

Airswift is seeking a Materials Management & Inventory Specialist in Houma, LA to optimize inventory and materials management within a energy-focused environment. The role emphasizes data integrity, spare parts strategy and collaboration with finance, procurement and maintenance teams.

The candidate will manage inventory analysis, physical counts, demand planning and modelling while ensuring alignment with total cost of ownership and service levels across regional operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or another relevant technical discipline.
• Materials management process and systems knowledge with hands-on experience with ERP (SAP) and reporting tools.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in the area.
• Experience supporting inventory control, inventory optimisation and inventory performance analysis across a regional or site environment.
• Experience collaborating with line, finance and procurement teams to evaluate inventory requirements and support total cost of ownership decisions.
• Experience with physical inventory counting and reconciliation processes aligned to finance requirements.
• Experience supporting demand planning, surplus identification and obsolete material disposition activities.
• Strong knowledge of inventory strategy, inventory level setting and continuous improvement in materials management.
• Ability to monitor and communicate key performance indicators related to inventory performance.
• Strong data quality focus, including maintaining material master record integrity.
• Ability to work effectively within a functional matrix organisation and influence leadership and operational stakeholders.
• Strong interpersonal skills and effective communication.
• Ability to support spare parts linkage to critical assets and service level reviews at item master level.
• Strong commercial skills and the ability to make effective decisions based on economics in the best interest of the company.
• Understanding of equipment and materials used in the energy sector.
• Knowledge of statistical analysis, inventory modelling techniques or inventory accounting.
• Field experience working in or supporting inventory control, warehouse operations or inbound logistics in the oil and gas sector or other industries.

Responsibilities

• Oversee inventory control, optimisation and materials management across a regional/site environment.
• Support continuous improvement in inventory performance, data integrity and spare parts strategy.
• Collaborate with finance, procurement, maintenance and operations to evaluate inventory requirements and total cost of ownership.
• Lead physical inventory counting and reconciliation aligned to finance requirements.
• Support demand planning, surplus identification and obsolete material disposition activities.
