Ion Storage Systems in Beltsville, MD seeks a motivated scientist or engineer to join the Ceramics R&D team and advance solid-state lithium metal battery technology. In this hands-on role you will design experiments, fabricate ceramic materials, and analyze data to improve solid electrolytes and manufacturing processes.

The ideal candidate has 1+ years lab experience and a relevant degree, strong communication, and teamwork, with a detail-oriented, fast-moving mindset.

Qualificações

• 1+ years of experience conducting research in a laboratory setting.
• Experience with analytical techniques such as SEM, XRD, particle size analysis, FTIR.
• Ability to communicate clearly, openly, and efficiently.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Eagerness to contribute and work collaboratively in a fast-paced R&D environment.

Responsabilidades

• Learn key stages of the solid electrolyte processing and fabrication method.
• Design experiments related to solid electrolyte materials and processes (coating, casting, sintering).
• Conduct and monitor experiments, characterize products, and analyze results.
• Document experimental methods, results, and uncertainties.
• Propose ideas to improve products or processes to the team.
• Maintain lab cleanliness and promote EH&S in daily work.
