Job summary

Raven Space Systems is seeking a Materials Scientist in Broomfield, CO to develop and optimize thermoset and ceramic composite materials for advanced 3D printing systems. This role requires collaboration with engineers to ensure optimal material behavior and involves leading the testing and characterization of material properties.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience with composite materials, especially thermosets or ceramics.
• Experience developing or scaling manufacturing processes for engineered materials.
• Comfort working in cross-disciplinary teams with mechanical, software, and operations personnel.

• Develop and optimize thermoset and ceramic composite formulations for 3D printing.
• Design and refine materials mixing protocols to ensure batch consistency.
• Lead testing and characterization of material properties including thermal stability.
