Key Responsibilities
Sales Growth and Business Development
- Develop and execute territory sales plans aligned with Business Unit and commercial growth objectives.
- Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities across residential, commercial, industrial, municipal, and infrastructure markets.
- Generate profitable revenue growth through strategic account development and market expansion.
- Develop relationships with contractors, developers, builders, engineers, architects, municipalities, government agencies, and private customers.
- Increase market share within assigned territories through proactive customer engagement and business development efforts.
- Actively prospect new customers and projects while maintaining and expanding existing customer relationships.
- Support major project pursuits and participate in bid reviews, proposal preparation, and contract discussions.
- Collaborate with the Vice President of Commercial on annual sales plans, market strategies, and growth initiatives.
Customer Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers from project identification through project completion.
- Build and maintain long-term customer relationships through regular communication, project visits, and proactive customer service.
- Develop an in-depth understanding of customer needs, project pipelines, and future opportunities.
- Address customer concerns promptly and professionally while coordinating solutions with operational teams.
- Promote customer retention through consistent service, responsiveness, and value creation.
- Act as a trusted advisor regarding material selection, product availability, scheduling, and project requirements.
Market Development and Intelligence
- Continuously monitor market conditions, construction activity, competitor actions, pricing trends, and economic developments.
- Track regional construction projects and identify opportunities for early project engagement.
- Gather and communicate market intelligence to commercial and operational leadership.
- Identify emerging growth opportunities, infrastructure developments, and strategic projects.
- Participate in local industry associations, contractor organizations, chambers of commerce, and community events to strengthen market presence.
Pricing and Commercial Execution
- Support pricing strategies established by the Vice President of Commercial.
- Ensure consistent pricing discipline and value-based selling practices.
- Prepare and present quotations, bids, proposals, and material estimates.
- Review plans, specifications, and project requirements to develop accurate sales opportunities and estimates.
- Monitor project pricing, margins, and revenue realization.
- Coordinate contract documentation and ensure commercial terms are clearly understood and executed.
- Verify pricing accuracy, sales documentation, contracts, and customer account information.
Operational Coordination
- Partner with dispatchers, plant managers, operations personnel, and project teams to ensure successful project execution.
- Communicate anticipated demand, project schedules, and customer requirements to operational leadership.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor project progress and customer satisfaction.
- Assist in resolving scheduling, product availability, delivery, and service concerns.
- Support alignment between customer commitments and operational capabilities.
