Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking Engineering Interns for the Defense Systems Sector in Roy, Utah. You will analyze parts and materials to support program requirements and help draft specifications for parts and materials used in defense systems.

Ideal candidates are enrolled full-time in a Materials, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering program and can work 40 hours per week for 10 weeks in Summer 2027, with eligibility for U.S. government clearance. The internship pays according to degree level.

Qualifications

• Be enrolled full-time pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree and available Fall 2027.
• Majoring in Materials/Materials Science Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Available to work full-time (40 hours/week) for at least 10 weeks during Summer 2027.
• Must be able to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

• Analyze part and material requests against program requirements; review and write material or part specification documents; identify alternative parts and material needs.
