Eaton’s IS VEH VGNA division is seeking a Materials Planning & Logistics Manager for on-site employment at the Westminster, SC location with relocation assistance offered.

The role oversees shipping/receiving, production scheduling, material replenishment and customer service, leading multiple teams with a focus on KPI management, continuous improvement, and robust inventory control in a plant certified to IATF16949/ISO 9001/14001.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution.
• Minimum five (5) years’ work experience in supply chain within a manufacturing environment.
• Minimum one (1) year of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.

Eaton’s Mobility Group, US Engine Valve business is currently seeking a Materials Planning & Logistics Manager to join our team. This position is located at our Westminster SC Loc Facility. Relocation assistance is offered.

Position Overview:

The Supply Chain Manager (SCM) will report directly to the US Engine Valve Westminster, SC Plant Manager – Mobility Group and is responsible for shipping & receiving department, production scheduler(s), material replenishment and customer service team. The individual in this role will lead several teams and individuals in these operational functions and possess strong leadership, communication and organization skills while providing training and compliance specific to their area of responsibility. SCM shall manage KPI’s, operational strategy, work standardization and cross training while supporting continuous improvement activities as part of day‑to‑day work requirements. This position is based out of the Westminster, SC manufacturing facility.

In this function you will:

• At all times, follows and enforces safety protocol, including use of PPE (personal protection equipment) and maintaining the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
• Participate in the development of plant strategic plans and align departmental goals, including development of supply chain strategies
• Lead materials management activities through SCM team – planning/scheduling, inventory management, procurement, logistics
• Balance current and future customer demand requirements with manufacturing and supplier capabilities/capacities to ensure completion of customer requirements
• Direct purchasing activities for production materials and non-production materials including capital and facilities (MRO); Responsible for minimizing purchase price variance
• Build organizational capability through development plans, mentoring, driving accountability, cross‑training & succession planning
• Recommend alternative course of action as part of closed loop process to reconcile differences between production capacity and unconstrained demand
• Responsible for out‑sourcing activities to meet demand requirements and reduce supply chain risk
• Responsible for reviewing Excess & Obsolete inventory and guide disposition
• Develop the replenishment strategy for value stream part numbers in the MRP system to generate requirements for manufactured and purchased parts while ensuring desired inventory levels maintained
• Utilise root‑cause analysis and basic problem‑solving skills to drive continuous improvement in processes and metrics
• Lead and direct the material planning team to balance the demand as driven by Material Requirements Planning (MRP), shop floor capacity and customer sales orders
• Improve automated processes to maximise the flow of information and material in support of plant manufacturing goals
• Identify methods and processes to improve velocity of material moving through the plant
• Assists in expediting material, where required, to meet shortfall between current plan and customer order requirements
• Maintain good working relationships with customers (internal and external).
• Ensure the cycle counting process is fully deployed and that action plans are developed, and root causes of issues are resolved to achieve acceptable inventory accuracy (98+%).
